Deep Chand of Rajputana Rifles won the Men’s marathon at the Mawana Sugars Indian Open Marathon in a time of 2:22:33. The Women’s marathon was won by Shukanya Mall in 2:59:58. 2nd international marathon at Nagpur saw a reported 80,000 participants on the various runs on day (give or take a few tens of thousands ). It was also reported that the winners said that they prefer Nagpur over Mumbai due to the weather, go figure.

Results of the 7th Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon (courtesy iaaf.org) are now available. Also, for the first time, live timing results for all participants for the marathon are available within 24 hours of the event on the timing partner’s website.

The 24th Pune International Marathon reportedly went without glitches which had seen last years race end in total chaos. The run was flagged off by Union Minister of State for External Affairs minister Shashi Tharoor and Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia was also present for the glam quotient.

Luke Kibet broke the course record at the Singapore Marathon, with a winning time which was about an amazing 2 minutes faster than last years time. In fact it was a Kenyan 1-2-3 as they sweeped all the podium places at the event. Kibet clocked 2:11:24 which was almost two minutes faster than his winner timefrom [...]
