Jonas Buud left the whole field trailing for the fourth time. He missed his personal best, set last year, by only 28 seconds. Jasmin Nunige took her third Swissalpine marathon title, in a time 20 minutes faster than her wins in 2005 and 2008. Maja Meneghin-Pliska and Corinne Zeller fought out a thrilling duel for second and third. Meneghin, 10 years younger, finished 35 seconds ahead.
