Sun-Herald City2Surf 14K is the world’s largest run and is voted Sydney’s favourite sporting event.The race is presented by Westpac which aims to raise much needed funds for charity. The City2Surf is run from Sydney CBD to Bondi Beach.
Sun-Herald City2Surf 14K 2012 Results
Aug 12, 2012. Victoria’s Liam Adams has won this year’s City2Surf race in Sydney by a margin of 50 seconds. Adams, 25, from Melbourne, was first across the line in the iconic Sydney race in an official time of 41 minutes 31 seconds – almost one minute ahead of second place winner Harry Summers in 42 minutes and 22 seconds. Mitchell Brown was third in a time of 42 minutes 28 seconds.
In the women’s title, Lara Tamsett, 23, from Sydney, won in a time of 46 minutes and 55 seconds, beating home Clare Geraghty (00:48:55) and Abigail Bayley (00:49:26)

Sun-Herald City2Surf 14K 2011 Results
Aug 14, 2011. Cross country champion Liam Adams crushed Michael Shelley’s dream of winning the 2011 City2Surf by putting in a sprint finish at Bondi Beach to defeat the race favourite by two seconds. Jessica Trengove, 23, from South Australia, was the first woman across the line in a time of 47:29. A record 85,000 participants took part in this year’s City2Surf fun run from central Sydney to Bondi beach.

With a one-second margin, first across the finish line was last year’s runner-up,Ben St Lawrence. His time was 41 minutes, 5 seconds. Last year’s winner, Queenslander Michael Shelley, came second.
