With a time of 2:15:14, Kenya’s Kipkoech Ruto, 23, won the 2012 Anthem Richmond Marathon, taking home $3,000 in prize money – $2,500 for the first place finish and an additional bonus of $500 for finishing under two hours and twenty minutes. Aziza Aliyu, a 27-year-old Ethiopian, was the first female to cross the finish line, clocking in at 2:40:21.

Nov 12, 2011. With a time of 2:13:45, Kenya’s Kennedy Kemei, 33, set a new course record. Mekides Bekele, a 25 year old Ethopian, was the first female to cross the finish line, clocking in at 2:47:50.

SunTrust Richmond Marathon 2010 Results
34-year-old Mark Chepses displayed the speed and stamina. His time, 2:19:13 was nearly three minutes faster than that of the runnerup, 27-year-old Kenyan. Dengersa didn’t merely win this race, she obliterated her competition. Her time, 2:49.10, was nearly 14 minutes faster than that of her closest pursuer.
