Recent results from the Marine Corps Marathon for elite runners are published below. Marine Corps Marathon is one of the largest marathons in the US (4th largest actually), with the 2010 field sold out with 30,000 participants. The 2010 run is the the 35th anniversary Marine Corps Marathon, held in Arlington, VA. The race does not feature the top international elite runners (no prize money), and is popularly known as ‘The People’s Marathon”.
Marine Corps Marathon 2012 Results
Oct 28, 2012. Spc. Augustus Maiyo, 29, posted a time of 2 hours, 20 minutes, 20 seconds, leading a pack of about 30,000 runners. Hirut Guangul, 20, of Team I Run 4 God (IR4G), was the first female to cross the finish line, coming in at 2:42:03, a week after coming in second at the Twin Cities Marathon.

Marine Corps Marathon 2011 Results
Chad Ware, 27, a lieutenant in the U.S. Army, finished first in the 36th Marine Corps Marathon, which was held Sunday in the District and Arlington County. Tezata Desalgn, 30, of Turkey won the women’s division.

Air Force 2nd Lt. Jacob Bradosky and Janet Cherobon of Rome, Ga. won the men’s and women’s divisions of the Marine Corps Marathon.
