Rome Marathon

Recent results from Rome Marathon (Maratona di Roma) for elite runners are published below. Rome Marathon is an annual marathon hosted by the city of Rome, Italy in March. The 2010 race was held in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Abebe Bikila’s win at the 1960 Rome Olympic marathon race and the winner, Siraj Gena, crossed the finish line barefoot in honour of Abebe Bikila’s style.

Mar 17, 2013. The Rome ACEA marathon was won by Getachew Terfa NEGARI in 2:07:56 time in men’s division and Helena KIROP won the women’s division 2:24:40 in time.

Rome Marathon 2012 Results

Mar 18, 2012. The Rome ACEA marathon saw two Kenyans take first place in both the men and women’s event. Luka Lokobe Kanda, 24, clocked in at 2h08’04″, with Hellen Kimutai, 34, clocking in at 2h31’11″.

Dickson Chumba beat Ethiopians Siraj Gena, last year’s winner and Abdulahi Dawit Shami while Dado scored an historic hat-trick becoming the first ever woman to win in Rome for three editions in a row.
