The Istanbul Eurasia Marathon is an international athletics event organized by the metropolitan municipality in Istanbul, Turkey, every year on a Sunday in October since 1979. The Marathon is a unique marathon where the race course spans two continent, Europe on one side and Asia on the other.

Istanbul Marathon 2011 Results
Oct 16, 2011. Kenyan athlete Vincent Kiplagat won the top title in men’s category for the second time in a row in the Istanbul Intercontinental Eurasia Marathon on Sunday. In womens’ category, Ethiopian athlete Alemitu Abera clinched the first spot with 2:27:56.

Istanbul Marathon 2010 Results
The men’s race was won by Kenya’s Vincent Kiplagat, 26, in 2:10:39 and in the women’s division last year’s runner-up Ashu Kasim, 26, from Ethiopia, claimed victory in 2:27:25.
