Mar 4, 2012. With a mile remaining at the Miami Beach 13.1 Marathon®, Kenyan native Eric Chirchir pulled away from runner-up and countryman Philemon Terer. Risper Gesabwa made it a Kenyan sweep with a 1:17:07 finish on the women’s side, well ahead of the 1:22:40 time of Melbourne Beach’s Angela Cobb.

Triathlete Miguel Tellez won his first career half-marathon, beating a cramping Bryan Huberty to the finish line at the Marathon in 1:17:14 time. Dana Flaherty won the women’s division in 1:30:42 time.

13.1 Miami Beach 2010 Results
Sharkey, 22, a former middle distance star at Gulliver Prep and Princeton, finally pulled ahead with two miles to go for his first half-marathon victory in 1:13:44. Rebecca Robinson finished 30 seconds behind and second overall in a field of 2,012 runners.
