Ottawa 10K is part of the Ottawa Race Weekend, held in the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Starting from 1975, the event has grown over the years. It now attracts thousands of participants and over 38,000 runners took part in the racing weekend in 2010. Ottawa’s course is fast and scenic with few elevation changes. It is considered to be an excellent course for first timers and should provide an environment conducive to setting a PR.

Registration
The entry fees is $45 for early registrations. To participate in Ottawa 10K Run you can register in the official website. The entry is limited to 10,500 runners.
Course / Route Map 
Ottawa 10K starts on Elgin Street approximately 80 metres south of the Laurier/Elgin street intersection. The race proceeds towards North to Queen Street, turns left, follows Queen Street west to Lyon and then turns left. Then it follows Lyon south to Somerset, turns right, to Somerset through Chinatown all the way west to Preston Street where it turns left.
After this it follows Preston through Little Italy south to Carling and crosses Carling to access the QE Driveway, takes the QE Driveway left toward downtown and follows QE Driveway all the way back to finish adjacent to the Cartier Drill hall.
