OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon Marathon at Indianapolis, Indiana, is the largest half-marathon in the U.S, and overall, the seventh largest running event in America with a field of 35,000 runners taking to Indianapolis streets on the first Saturday in May. The Mini-Marathon began in 1977 and became an official 500 Festival event in 1979. The 13.1-mile Mini-Marathon course stretches from downtown Indianapolis to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and back.
Commonly known as “The Mini,” it attracts runners and spectators from all over the United States and the entire world. The half marathon has sold out with 35,000 participants for the past 11 years.

You can register on the official website of OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon. Race registration will close once the maximum field is reached, regardless of the date. The entry fees for the half marathon is $85 if registered earlier.
Course / Route Map
The course stretches from downtown Indianapolis to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and back. Runners start on Washington Street and take White River Pkwy W. Drive to Michigan Street out of downtown, to Holt Road, to 10th Street and to Main Street in Speedway. Turning on 16th Street, participants will enter IMS at Gate 2 and complete one full 2.5-mile lap around the track. Exiting the track at Crossover 5 runners will then proceed south on Cagle Street to 16th Street, to Olin, back to 10thStreet. There they return to White River Pkwy W Drive to New York Street for the Victory Mile and finish just east of Blackford Street on New York Street.
Time Limits & Cutoffs
The Mini-Marathon has a time limit of 4 hours (18 minute per mile pace). The race is timed using Chronotrack Bib Timing Device.

Water Stops & Refreshments
There will be 11 water and five Gatorade (Gatorade Endurance Formula) stations (known as Pit Areas) along the course and at the start and finish line. Gatorade will be lemon-lime flavor.
