The Mussoorie Half Marathon is being organized as part of the Himalayan Writers Festival by Irun Sports Mangement Pvt. Ltd. along with Hanifl Center, Woodstock School, Mussoorie. It is held in Mussoorie, a hill station in the Dehradun District, Uttarakhand, India. Dont just come for the run, come for the Mountain Festival with your family and make it a memorable weekend for all as the Mussoorie Half Marathon is on the last day of the Mountain Festival. Along with the half marathon, the event also offers a team relay option for the Half Marathon or a shorter fun run.

Registration

To participate in Mussoorie Half Marathon you can register on the official website. The registration opens on 1st Sept 2012 and closes on 15th Oct 2012. Registration fee includes: Fee charged by organizer, access to facilities provided by organizer during the run, goodies received before the race, if any. The registration fees is as follows-

OPEN CATEGORY : Fun Run – Rs. 450/-, Half Marathon (Individual) – Rs 950/-, Half Marathon (relay) – Rs 1450/- (per team) SCHOOL REGISTRATIONS : Half Marathon (Individual) – Rs 500/-, Half Marathon (relay) – Rs 1000/- (per team).

Course / Route Map

The run will start in Woodstock School, then through the city center, on to Everest House and back. Mussoorie itself is about 6000ft above sea level and the run will have its share of ups and downs hence definitely a fun & beautiful run, but surely may not be an easy run. Route will be mostly tarmac with some sections of trail.
