Mount Fuji Marathon takes place in Kawaguchiko, Yamanashi, Japan. Lake Kawaguchiko Marathon, previously held 36 times, is being reborn as the “Mount Fuji Marathon”. The events includes a marathon and a 17.8 km marathon. At Mount Fuji Marathon, the running course is renewed as well to go around Lake Kawaguchiko and Sai Lake. Every year, many foreign runners attend this race to enjoy  the beautiful autumn scenary observed throughout this area.

The entry fees for the full Marathon is 9,000JPY. To participate in Mount Fuji Marathon you can register in the official website.

Course / Route Map

Mount Fuji Marathon starts from Funatsuhama Parking Area (planned) and finishes at Funatsuhama Parking Area. Runners have to run 2 Laps around Lake Kawaguchi for the marathon. Throughout the course, runners will enjoy beautiful views of Japanese symbol “Mount Fuji” and surrounding mountains, covered by autumnal leaves.
