The McGuire’s St. Patrick’s Day 5K, also known as the McGuire’s 5k, takes place in Pensacola, Florida, USA. This is one of the largest race events in the Pensacola and the nation’s largest prediction run. The race is organized by McGuire’s Irish Pub which is a popular Pensacola restaurant and local landmark. Each Runner/Walker predicts how long it will take them to complete the course, the finishers that come closest to their prediction wins.
Based on previous races, over 9000 finishers were there in the 2013 McGuire’s St. Patrick’s Day 5k race. Awards go to the fastest as well as the most accurate in predicting the time it will take to complete the course.

The entry fees is $30. To participate in McGuire’s St. Patrick’s Day 5K you can register in the official website. For team participation, the team captain should first create the team and then register.
Course / Route Map
The 36th Annual McGuire’s St. Patrick’s Day 5k Run starts and finishes at McGuire’s Irish Pub in downtown Pensacola. The race course has been certified as accurate by USA Track and Field.
The course leads the runners through Bayfront, 9th Avenue, Romana, 10th Avenue, Salamanca, Intendencia, Jefferson, Capt Funs, Grand Hotel, Civic Center and Gregory.

Time Limits & Cutoffs
- Participants must be able to run or walk the 3.1 mile (5k) course in under one hour.
- As this is a Prediction Run participants can run for speed and/or their predicted time.
Prize Money & Awards
McGuire’s gives awards for prediction winners and speed winners in several male, female and team categories.
T-Shirts, Medals, Certificates
All the participants will be given a T-shirt which is included with registration. T-SHIRT SIZES ARE NOT GUARANTEED.
Water Stops & Refreshments
- A free pre-race breakfast including donuts, bagels, fruit, juice and coffee will be provided.
- After the race it’s Pensacola’s BEST post-race party featuring Rich McDuff’s Irish Sing-a-long, Coffee, Irish Fare, Irish Wakes, Bud Light, McGuire’s Red Ale and soft drinks.

The temperature typically varies from 53°F to 66°F and is rarely below 39°F or above 74°F.
