The International Marathon Mexico City (Maraton Int’l de la Ciudad de Mexico) is the largest athletic event of national importance. This great event is a boost to sport and exercise is a major campaign for health and allow the democratic use of the roads and by the brokers. Now the International Marathon Mexico City official route will be made permanent as the last Sunday of August. For athletes it is very important to have a defined route to be maintained every year since this will allow them to apply their training and strategies.

Course / Route Map
The official route is entirely urban, and both runners and spectators as the marathon can enjoy the beauty of buildings such as the National Palace, Metropolitan Cathedral, the Palace of Fine Arts, the Chamber of Juarez, the building of the Lottery National Monument to the Revolution, the gazebo to Christopher Columbus, the monument to Cuauhtemoc, the Glorieta de la Palma, the column of Independence, Diana the Huntress, the Torre Mayor, Polanco, the source of Lincoln, the Campo Marte, the National Auditorium, the Monumento a los Ninos Heroes de Chapultepec Castle, the museums of Anthropology and History, Rufino Tamayo, Modern Art, the World Trade Center, the roundabout of the Insurgents. The lowest point is the Historic Center with 2.229 meters and the highest point is 15 kilometer located opposite the Campo Marte to 2.286 meters over the sea level.
