Lucca Marathon takes place in Lucca, a city in Tuscany, northern central Italy, and the race has now become an international event. Lucca, the famous town of the “walls”, represents great interest to combine sport and cultural activities. The marathon will end in Piazza San Michele, one of the most beautiful squares of the city. In addition to the competitive marathon race of 42.195 km, the race also includes a non-competitive race open to all of about 5 /10 Km called La Lucchesina that will wind through the streets and squares of the historic center of Lucca.

Course / Route Map

The race starts at the ancient medievals Lucca city walls, after a complete lap will go out from the city through some little towns and villages in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, to come back after about 35 Km to Lucca, traversing its historical streets, and finish in Piazza San Michele, one of the most beautiful squares of the city.
