Kochi Marathon is an annual event held in Kochi, Kerala, India. The event is being organised by the district administration in association with Lions Club International District 324 E4, Heart Care Foundation (HCF), Cardiological Society of India (CSI), National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), the Southern Naval Command and the City Police. The event will be held in 11 different categories – marathon (42 km), half marathon (21 km), corporate team (11 km), college students (11 km), individual – men (5 km) women (4 km), school students (5 km) children (4 km), and senior citizen – men (4 km), women (4 km).

Course / Route Map

The race starts and finishes at Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium. It heads the runners through Kaloor Junction, Kadavanthra Junction, Vytilla Junction, and Palarivattom Junction.

Wonderful news! Humidity will be the factor to beat. I ran the Bangalore Spirit of Wipro half marathon last week. One of my trial runs was in Kerala, the humidity just tired me down. :( But I’m determined. It will be fun to run a half at home. Cheers Kerala!!!!

Finishing point – please keep at the Nehru stadium. :)

I have participated in Mumbai marathon and many other similar local events for the past 10 years. I look forward very enthusiastically to participate in Kochi Marathon. It would be a great feeling to run in my native town.
