OfficeMax Hood to Coast Relay is the largest Relay in the World with incredible adventure and unbeatable scenery. HTC start is located at Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood (approx. 90 miles SE of Portland, Oregon). Hood To Coast is 199 miles long, run from majestic Mt. Hood to beautiful Pacific Ocean in Seaside. HTC began in 1982 with 8 teams and has filled the team cap on the opening day of registration for the last 14 years straight! The event has 12,000+ runners (more than 1,000 teams with 12 runners each) and 3,000 volunteers.

Course / Route Map

The relay starts at scenic Timberline Lodge (elevation 6,000 ft.), on top of Oregon’s tallest mountain, Mt. Hood (11,234 ft) and finishes on on the sandy beach at the Pacific Ocean, in Seaside, Oregon. The race consists of thirty-six (36) Legs. Each runner is required to complete three (3) of the 36. Each Leg ranges in distance from 3.52 to 8.09 miles. Legs vary in difficulty, from easy to very hard, due to the varying Oregon terrain.
