The Bupa Great Manchester Run is Britain’s premier 10k held since 2003. The run starts at the Manchester City Centre (Portland Street near the junction with Oxford Street) and finishes on Deansgate near the Hilton Hotel and Beetham Tower. Usually held in mid-May, it is among the largest and most prestigious mass participation runs in the United Kingdom.
It is part of the Great Run series of road races in the UK and is sponsored by Bupa. The run has an entry limit of 40,000 runners.

Course / Route Map
The Bupa Great Manchester Run is staged over a course of 10km, which has been officially measured and certified. The start line is on Portland Street near the junction with Oxford Street while the finish line is on Deansgate. There is an Aqua-Pura water station on the course at approximately 5km, near to Old Trafford. Other facilities for runners includes the “run-through” shower just before the end of Trafford Wharf Road at around the 6.5km point.
