Goa River Marathon is organized by the Vasco Sports Club in Goa, India. After the resounding success of the first edition of the event in 2010, the club has decided to ensure that the event assumes greater proportions in the coming years. The event has runners from across the globe, and within the country as well, including cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi etc. Goa River Marathon has a Half Marathon, 10K Runs and 5K Fun Run/Walk.
The 10K Corporate relay run is a team event with 5 participants running 4 kms each. The runners can get a FREE fundraising page by filling out a simple form and collect donations from friends & family online! The fund collected form the event is donated to 2 local Goa NGOs supporting mentally handicapped children: Cause of Our Joy & New Dawn.

Registration
To participate in Goa River Marathon, you can register on the official website. Registration will open on or before 01 July 2012.
Course / Route Map
The 21 Km half marathon which is a pro event will start at Baina Beach and will travel upto Marman Shipyard and Back. The route heads the runners through MPT Hospitals, NH 17B, Indian Oil Tank, Swatantra Path, Raj Tara Clinic, Childrens Park, Sweet and Sour, NH17A and Chicalim Park to reach the finishing point. The 5km fun walk run will start at Baina beach and turn around at Thakker House junction along Swatantra Path.
