The inaugural Rock ‘n’ Roll Edinburgh Half Marathon is held in Edinburg, Scotland. The former ADT Edinburgh Half Marathon has transformed into UK’s first Rock ‘n’ Roll Edinburgh Half Marathon, adding live bands to the course and a post race concert. The picturesque Firth of Forth coastline forms the backdrop to this scenic Half Marathon. It is hoped that the changes to the Edinburgh event will see the number of participants more than double from 4,500 to nearly 10,000 in 2012, with many expected to dress up as their favourite rock and pop icons.
