MetroPCS Dallas Half Marathon is an annual race that takes place in December in Dallas, Texas. It is a three-day, world class event with proceeds benefiting Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. The events include marathon, half marathon, Mayor’s 5K race, five person relay.
The course begins and ends in Fair Park near the north end of the Cotton Bowl and runs to and around scenic White Rock Lake, with so much course entertainment that you might forget you’re running a half marathon! There were 9879 finishers in half marathon alone in 2012.

To participate in MetroPCS Dallas Half Marathon you can register in the official website. Registration is capped at 25,000 total participants. This total includes all marathon, half marathon and relay participants. The entry fees for the half marathon is $100 if registered earlier.
Course / Route Map
The course begins and ends in Downtown Dallas and highlights the best areas of the city. Along the way, runners pass through the West Dallas Loop, over the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, through the Dallas Design District, along majestic Turtle Creek, through the hip Uptown area, past Klyde Warren Park and back to the finish in Downtown.
Time Limits & Cutoffs
The time limit for half marathon participants is 4 hours. ChronoTrack B-Tag timing tags will be used to time the event.
Prize Money & Awards
The top three male and female overall finishers and top overall Master finisher will be given awards.
T-Shirts, Medals, Certificates
All runners will receive Participant shirt. All finishers will be given Long-sleeve technical finisher’s shirt, finisher’s medallion and online finisher certificate.
Water Stops & Refreshments
There will be more than 20 water stops along the course. All stations – water and Gatorade Endurance Formula (Lemon-Lime flavor), some stations – sliced oranges, CLIF Shot Energy Zone – at miles 9 and 19.
