Recent results from the Cooper River Bridge Run for elite runners are published below. Cooper River Bridge Run is an annual 10 kilometer one-way road running event held in the cities of Mount Pleasant and Charleston in South Carolina. The Bridge Run is the only competition in South Carolina sanctioned by USA Track and Field as an elite event.
Cooper River Bridge Run 2014 Results
Apr 5, 2014. Birhan Nebebew, a 19-year-old runner, won the race and was followed closely by Moroccan Mourad Marofit. Nebebew finished with a time of 28:38.70 and won the top prize of $10,000. The top female finisher was also an Ethiopian, 21-year-old Azmera Gebru.

Cooper River Bridge Run 2013 Results
Apr 6, 2013. Ndirangu won Saturday’s 10,000-meter race by more than 200 meters in a time of 28 minutes, 6 seconds. Ndirangu’s time was the eighth-fastest in race history. Ethiopia’s Hiwot Ayalew won the women’s division in a time of 32:17. It was Ayalew’s first time running in Charleston.

March 31, 2012. This year’s first place winner for men, Soloman Deksisa from Ethiopia finished at 29:37. The first place winner for women, Janet Cherbon-Bawcom from Georgia finished at 33:01.
