Running And Living Chandigarh Marathon which takes place in Chandigarh, Punjab, India is organised by the Chandigarh Administration and are by runners for runners, to provide a great experience to all. Running is yet another reason why Chandigarh is a great tourist destination, and the Chandigarh Marathon is an ultimate reason to come to this picturesque city. The underlying theme of the event is to run for the spirit of Chandigarh and to take a stand against corruption.
The course is flat, cold and well supported. Runners experience the thrill of a lifetime as they cross the finish line. An attractive medal, certificate with timing for each finisher of the Full and Half Marathons and a certificate for each 5km and 10km finisher. Each finisher is a winner. There is no prize money in these runs. These runs are about making sure every one is a finisher with a smile on their faces.

The fee is Rs 1125/- for the Marathon, Rs 900 /- for the Half Marathon, Rs 450 for the 10km run and Rs 225/- for the 5K run. To participate in Running And Living Chandigarh Marathon you can register in the official website.
Registrations close on 17th March. All registration charges also attract a standard 12.36% service tax and each successful registrant online or offline before March 17th gets a free running T shirt at the bib pick up at the expo (normal retail price Rs 800/-)
Course / Route Map
The race starts at the rock garden and goes to Raj Bhavan, CGA, Kishangarh village to Sukhna Lake embankment – Regulator end. The runners then come along the Sukhna embankment to Uttara marg and Rock Garden to complete 8km. Then left at Jan Marg with a U turn at Matka Chowk back to Old Barricade. Then left towards CM residence and left between Sector 10 and 11 upto Madhya Marg and then a U turn back to Uttara Marg and turn left to the Haryana and Punjab CM Residences. Go on till the barricade and U turn on Uttara Marg and come back to the Old Barricade Circle and turn left to the capitol complex and run straight. The road goes under a bridge and you can see Chandigarh’s Open Hand monument and then the road turns right. Do a U turn here and get back to the old barricade circle and turn left to the Rock Garden where the half marathoners finish. The full marathoners do 2 loops of this route.
