Standard Charterd Bangkok Marathon is a world standard athletic sport of Thailand which is popular among Thai and foreign runners and tourists as much as the marathon in other famous cities in the world. It is an annual event held in Bangkok, Thailand in the month of November by National Jogging Association of Thailand.
In addition to the full marathon course, there are also the shorter half marathon course, mini marathon course and micro marathon courses for slower runners and walkers. A great atmosphere prevails and there are numerous events after the race, including the popular pasta party. Due to floods the event is now postponed to February 12, 2012.

Registration
The entry fees is 2000 Bht. for non-Thai residents if registered earlier. To participate in Standard Chartered Bangkok Marathon you can register in the official website.
Course / Route Map 
The scenic and loop course is through many historical landmarks through cultural and ethnic communities like the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the National Museum and the Chao Phraya River. All divisions start and finish line are at Sanam Chai Road locating the front of The Royal Grand Palace. Race Course is officially sanctioned by The Association of International Marathons and Road Races (AIMS) and the Amateur Athletic Association of Thailand (IAAF Rules).
