Canada’s original quarter marathon is returning to Oshawa in a fundraiser to support local street youth. The Subway Restaurants Durham 1/4 Marathon will be held on July 21 to benefit The Refuge. In addition to the quarter marathon, participants can also run a 1/8 marathon. A quarter marathon is six miles or 10.5 kilometres. More.

Missoula’s Linsey Corbin won the Ironman Austria women’s triathlon Sunday, while Faris Al-Sultan won the men’s event. Competing in her first Ironman event in Europe, Corbin took the lead in the cycling stage before holding off a challenge by Erika Csomor of Hungary in the marathon. More.
