South Coast Half Marathon is scheduled for June 16
The 18th-annual Jennifer’s Catching Slough Classic will be held on Saturday, June 16, starting near the intersection of Catching Slough Road and the Coos River Highway near Coos Bay. The event features the fourth-annual South Coast Half Marathon run and walk, a 12-kilometer run/walk, a 5-kilometer run/walk and a 1-mile kids run. More.

Lindsay Hattendorf, a Crown Point resident and Chesterton graduate, was the top female finisher at the Allstate Life InsuranceSM Chicago 13.1 Marathon on Saturday at the South Shore Cultural Center. Hattendorf, 28, completed the half-marathon in 1 hour, 22 minutes, 40 seconds. More.

A record 575 runners ran in either the full marathon, half marathon or 5-K races on Saturday morning in the 14thannual Hatfield and McCoy Marathon held in Williamson, W.Va. Matt Sykes of nearby Pikeville, Ky. came in first place with a time of 2:48. More.
Rochester’s Sandahl wins women’s division at Market Square Day 10K

Australian wins Taipei 101 race
