Malibu will play host to a full and half marathon this November. The Scotiabank Blue Nose Marathon is on pace to break records in 2012. Organizers estimate 12,000 runners will take part in the ninth-annual race weekend set for May 19-20. Nick Filippazzo Captured The Long Island Half Marathon
Wantagh resident Nick Filippazzo, a sophomore cross county runner at Molloy College, captured the Long Island Half-Marathon title Sunday. Filippazzo, 19, finished the 13.1 mile race with a time of 1:09:24. He edged out second place finisher Charles White of Kingwood, Texas by six seconds. More.
Etobicoke Runner Wins Mississauga Marathon
Very few marathon winners are as modest as Joe Campanelli. The Etobicoke native signed up for the Mississauga Marathon to test himself and had no thoughts of winning the race.
