Newton Running is hosting the daily clinics between April 11 and 15 in partnership with Boston’s Marathon Sports (Boylston Street location). Each session will cover the benefits of adopting a mid-foot/forefoot strike instead of a heel strike and how to safely and effectively make the transition to natural form running. You are invited to learn from the experts how natural form running improves your speed, efficiency and decrease your chance of injury.
The clinics involve a group run with frequent stops during which participants do a series of drills that demonstrate the concepts behind natural form running and illustrate the relationship between biomechanics and running efficiency.
Ian Adamson, Newton’s Director of Research and Education, will lead the clinics on Saturday and Sunday. Adamson, an expert in natural running, world-renowned endurance athlete and adventure racer and seven-time world champion, is available for interview upon request. You can learn
more about him at www.ianadamson.com.
