The 2013 Virgin London Marathon official ballot will open to all applicants on Monday 30th April 2012. This ballot system will close when 125,000 applications have been received. If you want to apply for a ballot place be aware that the ballot closes very quickly, so get your application in fast (approximately 24 hours)!
You are advised to try and secure your own place in the event through the official ballot, and you will be notified if you have been successful in the lottery or not by the race organisers in October. Usually emails are sent early in October. If lucky your credit card account will be debited earlier. If you notice the booking you can be sure of your place in the field.
Please visit the Virgin London Marathon website at www.virginlondonmarathon.com to enter on the day of opening as it fills up very quickly.
For UK Residents
Ballot entries for 2013 London Marathon open 30th April 2012. In all likelihood, it probably will be closed the next day. Successful applicants will be notified in early October.
For Overseas Participants
Online Ballot Entry opens 30th April 2013 and will certainly be closed on the following day latest, after 5,500 will have applied.

am a good runner i run for the army but i’ll be running london in boot’s combat’s and 50 pd bergin if i get in
