Robin Hood Marathon Has Been Cancelled

All is not well for runners in Sherwood Forest. England. For the first time in 30 years, the annual Robin Hood Marathon will not take place. It doesn’t have anything to do with Robin Hood’s arch nemesis, the Sheriff of Nottingham. Instead, blame traffic. Organizers have stated that the 26.2-mile route is just not safe anymore. More.

13th Annual Edge-To-Edge marathon To Be Held On Jun. 10
Coordinators met to begin preparations for the 13th annual Edge-to-Edge marathon. Tofino is about 42-kilometres from Ucluelet. At 8: 30 a.m. on June 10, about 600 runners will begin pushing the pavement from Tofino’s skate park towards Ucluelet’s district office. More.

Pat’s Run Registrations To Fill Early

More than 10,000 people have registered as of this week for the run, which honors Tillman, who died at age 27 in 2004 while serving in Afghanistan. Attendance at the event, including participants and volunteers, has risen from 5,000 in 2005 to 35,000 for last year’s seventh edition of the run.
