The Triathlon Club of San Diego, in association with TriJuniors, will conduct it’s first junior draft-legal triathlon on March 20, 2011. April 3, 2011 and May 15, 2011 will be the second and third events in the series.
The event will be open to all junior triathletes who would like to get experience in a draft-legal race. This will be considered a tune-up event for the USAT National Championship race on August 6, 2011 in San Diego.
The race will consist of a 300m swim (2 loops with a short beach run), followed by a 12km bike (3 laps), and 2km run (2 laps) on TCSD’s normal Fiesta Island course. Start time will be 7:35am.
6:15 AM – Registration Opens
- Wheels must have at least 12 spokes
- Regular, double-triangle frame, (Standard Road Bike)
- Standard drop handle bars, (NO AEROBARS)
- Bar ends must have plugs
