The 2011 ING New York City Marathon will take place on Sunday November 6th, with athletes from around the world set to gather in the Big Apple.

As one of the world’s most prestigious road races, the annual event attracts more than 100,000 applicants and a worldwide television audience of approximately 315 million people.

The registration deadline for the marathon passed several months ago, but people can still gain entry by running for a participating charity.

The event boasts a course that starts in Staten Island and makes its way through each of the city’s famous five boroughs before finishing at the Tavern on the Green in Central Park.

Maybe you can help. 311 could NOT.

Will the FDR drive or the Harlem River Drive be closed for any part of the November 6 Marathon.
Thank you from a senior.
