The BMW BERLIN-MARATHON 2011 gives you the opportunity to receive race results as SMS messages or via email. All you have to do is to register for this service by providing your mobile phone number and/or your email address for a starting number of your choice. Due to your selection you will receive an SMS at the Half Marathon, and when the runner crosses the finishing line. More detailed information is provided just once by email, as soon as the corrected final results are available. You may register as many mobile phone numbers and email addresses as you like (e.g., your own number, members of your family or friend or even your race competitor).
This service is free of charge provided by the BMW BERLIN MARATHON and Deutsche Telekom in cooperation with the Pervasive Computing Institute of the University of Linz in aid of the “RTL-Spendenmarathon” to support child care projects in Germany. See here how it works:
