Tyson Gay broke a less attempted world record, the 200 meters straight track one instead of the regular curved track which is the standard, running a 19.41 into a slight headwind at the Manchester, England at the specially laid out track. He broke the existing record of 19.5 set by Tommie Smith in 1966.

For the record, Usain Bolt still holds the standard track 200 meter world record of 19.19. Don’t worry, nobody’s coming close to that time anytime soon, except Usain maybe.
