The 2010 RAK Half Marathon at Ras Al Khaimah (UAE) has just finished and the results are out. Sterling performance from Geoffrey Mutai of Kenya landed him the winner’s medal in a time of 59:43. The women’s race was won by Elvan Abeylegesse of Turkey (born in Ethiopia), in a performance which left the experienced Ethiopian contingent scampering for the lower places! Both the men’s and women’s world record remained untouched by significant margins despite strong fields.
