The 6th edition of the Airtel Kolkata Marathon will be run on Feb 21st, 2010. This news was announced today by the organizing secretary Prochy Mehta in Kolkata. Deep Chand of Rajputana Rifles won the Men’s marathon at the Mawana Sugars Indian Open Marathon in a time of 2:22:33. The Women’s marathon was won by Shukanya Mall in 2:59:58. There seems to be a pattern to some esoteric dates. The last time was when Boston Marathon registrations started on 09/09/09. And though the Chicago Marathon registrations are not starting on a special date, but the run itself is 10/10/10. I guess the organizers generated an additional dose of public interest So, what’s with Chicago? [...]
