We are the Champions at 10th 5Cs!

Cadence Design Systems lifted the overall trophy at the 10th CRY Cadence Corporate Citizenship Challenge (5Cs). It was a sweet revenge over our beloved customers, Freescale Semiconductor, who were the winners last year by a silver, and this time, we edged them out by a silver too!

Cadence won the trophy with 3 golds (including my Badminton gold, and Men’s and Women’s Table Tennis team golds), 2 silvers and 1 bronze. Freescale, who otherwise had more medals than Cadence in the form of 3 golds, 1 silver and 4 bronze lost it due to a tie in golds and lesser number of silver medals.

This was a one weekend event held on 28th-29th November 2009 at Noida Stadium, Noida. The event had multiple sports like Cricket, Soccer, Table Tennis, Badminton, Basketball, Squash, Golf (Driving Range) and Mini Marathon with the participation team size of 50 players from each participating company.
