In fact, I just came across an interesting article on the significance of today’s unique date here. The 2010 Boston marathon will take place on Apr 19th.
As I read about the registrations opening for the 2010 event, I was wondering about runners from India who might have run the Boston Marathon. I am sure there are not too many of them. I know of one such legend, Sunita Godara, who ran the Boston Marathon in 1985. Other than that, I do not know. Maybe some readers here would like to share more light if they know about any runners from India who they know have run the Boston Marathon (please write in the Comments section). Or if you know anyone who would be taking part in the upcoming run in 2010.
Of course, Boston differs from any marathon due to its unique and tough qualifying criteria. People can run London (if they get through the ballots), Paris, New York, Chicago, Berlin, or most of the big international marathons, but to run Boston, you need to be real good. Hello Tanvir – The 2010 Boston marathon registration closed a few days ago, reaching its max in record time this year. Amazing! Almost as quick a Comrades. Congrats & lucky you for getting into Comrades! I missed it this year. good luck training and have a great run!
