And as always, this is the time where running frequency goes down, or ceases altogether. For the last several weeks, for one thing or another, I have been out of town, and which resulted in a lot of missed weekend runs. Weekday runs are totally off, but I still have some motivation to keep going. At least keep doing those long runs over the weekends, and if that keeps me excited, try to do some weekday runs. Bangalore 10K is just a month away now (May 18th as per the latest announcement), and I have my doubts on whether I will go or not.
I am also trying to do something besides running this summer… like playing Badminton. I went to the courts after about 8 months, and I found myself unexpectedly lively, probably due to some residual fitness coming from all the running. I think if I can manage a long run, and some sports in a week, that would be great for keeping me in shape for the next running season.

Tanvir,
Let me know when you want to visit Siri Fort..couple of friends in my area are members.
Yes long back i too had played in the AIIMS courts ( an open tournament )..i thought i was good till i went out first round in 2 straight games. Entirely forgettable experience. We used to sometimes play at the IIT Delhi courts too (wooden)

Thats great, Param. Lets see if we can find out some contacts to get entry to Siri Sports complex. I have been there a couple of times for watching some badminton action. There was this Pramod Mahajan memorial All-India tournament last year, and there was a PSPB (Petroleum) nationals. BTW, Petroleum has almost all the top names in Badminton.
Another good place for Badminton is the AIIMS sports complex. We have been playing a corporate tournament organized by Eventus there for the last 3 years,
I Noida, there is a good court at Sec 14. But, you need member entry again. We currently play at Sec 3 Noida which has cemented courts, and pay as you play.
Hi Tanvir,
I can see that you are a baddy enthusiast..i too played with some decent level of profiency..no great shakes though.
Lets sometime try the Indoor Courts at Siri Fort Sports complex ( Near Hauz Khas )..they have wonderful wooden courts . We can try some weekend even though I am not a member ..we can go as someone’s guests.
